The Institute of Public Administration was incorporated in the year 2000 as an independent body, entirely self-financing. It is governed by a Council of members whose work is supported by a number of standing committees and permanent staff.
There are three grades of members:
Fellow FPA
Associate APA
Member (Student) -
Associate membership of the Institute is by examination and practical experience, after which such graduate is designated associate and he/she is qualified to use the Institute’s designatory letters, APA after his /her name.
Fellow must have acquire practical experience at a mire senior level for at leaser 10 years
Student Member
To become a member of the Institute, applicant must first be accepted as a registered. Student. All applicant for registration must have reached at least OND standard or its equivalent. Mature candidate can be accepted only at the Councils discretion. (see page 6)
